宇佐美栞

説明

Height: 160 cm An operator affiliated with the Tamakoma Branch. She attends Roeikan High School—a prestigious school with ties to Border—where she is a top-tier student. Her classmates include Ayatsuji from the Arashiyama Unit and Hiyami from the Ninomiya Unit. She has an easygoing, caring personality, moves at her own pace, and wears glasses. She is a devoted enthusiast of eyewear and serves as the honorary chair of the "Border Glasses-Wearers Association." She owns six pairs of glasses: one for daily use, work, reading, going out, sleeping, and a spare. She is not only tolerant of non-prescription (fashion) glasses but actively encourages them, maintaining that "the adoption of glasses as a fashion statement is an historical inevitability—a natural law." Until a year ago, she served as the operator for the Kazama Unit at Border Headquarters, sporting short hair at the time. Alongside Kazama, she recognized the potential in Utagawa and Kikuchihara, recruiting them to form the unit. She was the unsung hero who supported the team from its inception through its promotion to A-Rank, and she even accompanied them on an away mission to the Neighbor World. Perhaps as a result, she has a deep interest in Neighbor technology—such as Triggers and Trion soldiers—and has developed her own training programs, including simulations featuring "100-meter-class Bamsters" and a custom-made "Yashamaru series" of Molemods. Having promised her parents that she would prioritize her academics starting in her second year of high school, she left the Kazama Unit during the winter of her first year, transferring to the Tamakoma Branch, which is closer to her home. Yousuke Yoneya of the Miwa Unit is her cousin. Following the formation of Tamakoma-2 (the Mikumo Unit), and at the recommendation of Branch Chief Rindou, she also took on the role of operator for the Mikumo Unit. However, she leaves the leadership of operations to the three of them, focusing instead on providing support. The role of operator for Tamakoma-1—which she previously held concurrently—has been handled by Yuri Rindou since the conclusion of the away-mission selection exam, following her return from a scouting trip.
