Height: 152 cm (5'0") She is the commanding officer of Harekaze. She has a cheerful, positive personality and is an optimist who believes that "shipmates are family"; no matter what difficulties arise, she maintains the attitude that "things will work out." She possesses incredible luck—winning the top prize in a lottery on her first try, never drawing anything less than "Daikichi" (Excellent Luck) on a fortune slip, and cracking open eggs with double yolks on more than five occasions. She applied to the maritime school in Yokosuka to fulfill the dream of becoming a "Blue Mermaid" that she had shared with her childhood friend since they were young. Her extraordinary luck extended to the entrance exam, where the topics she "happened" to study were the ones that appeared on the test. She successfully passed the exam for the Navigation Department (as evidenced by the official site, the insignia on her uniform's right shoulder, the specialization emblem in the manga version, and scenes of the practical exam) and became the captain of the Kagerō-class ocean-going training vessel Harekaze. She memorized the names of all 31 crew members and two animal mascots, addressing them as "—chan" (or "—san" in some cases).
