A certain tragedy that took place early in her life affects her deeply, even making her racing activities seem like an attempt to atone. Though she doesn't intend it, her stoic pessimism garners the interest and concern of those around her, and she often gets caught up in the antics of T.M. Opera O, one of her racing peers. It's heavily implied that she lost her sister.
