Nationality: Japanese Affiliation: Japanese Army Rank: Lieutenant Colonel Colonel Otomo is a Lieutenant Colonel in the IJA, and a member of the Imperial Ministry of Technology. He is at odds with Iwaya Eiji over the purpose of domestic TSF development, believing there is no need to domestically produce TSF. He believes the U.S. isn’t worthy of trust and suggests closer ties with the Soviet Union, including a trial of Soviet-made TSF in Japan.
