The Pillar General known as the Shadowlight. With the help of his trusty Yatanawarabe, he moonlights as an artist of erotica such as may appeal to the prurient interests of noble young ladies. The main antagonist of Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth as well as the secret main antagonist of Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception. Woshis was one of the Eight Pillar Generals and famed for being a Taoist writer in his spare time, coupled with writing love stories between men as Raurau-sensei. But he was actually the one who killed the Emperor of Yamato and poisoned Anju, framing Oshtor in the process which started the Civil War. After Anju is returned to the throne he takes action and reveals who he is. He is the clone of Mito and claims to be the successor of humanity. After he steals the master key, he uses an Akuruka mask kept secretly by the Emperor as its power was too much to control. Woshis attempts to revive humanity and end the current race but Haku defeats him, at the sacrifice of himself of using too much of the Akuruka's power. He is a clone of the Mikado and the older brother of Anju, and the nephew of Haku.
