Hardness: 6.5 One of the elder gems. They're in charge of paper production and are partners with Sphene. Peridot is mature, laid-back, and a little obsessed with making paper. Hemimorphite describes them as "smart and imperturbable". Peridot used to be partnered with Blue Zoisite about a thousand years before the beginning of the story. Zoisite was taken to the moon in the same battle as Sphene's old partner, Topaz, which is the reason that Peridot and Sphene eventually decided to partner with each other.
