Nationality: Japanese Rank: Lieutenant-General Affiliation: Japanese Army Ayamine Shuukaku is Ayamine Kei's father and was the mentor and a father figure for Sagiri Naoya. A Lieutenant-General in the IJA, Ayamine took part in the Gwangju Operation in South-Western Korea in 1998, which would later be known as the Gwangju Tragedy. In the Gwangju Operation, General Ayamine prioritized the evacuation of civilians instead of military targets. This caused heavy losses for the UN forces and the loss of a base, but saved many lives of civilians. This led to him being charged with desertion, a controversial decision.
