Shion Kiba

Описание

A second-year student at the same junior high school as Chrono Shindou and Tokoha Anjou. He is the scion of the Kiba Conglomerate, a prestigious and wealthy family. While he typically presents himself as a sociable and gentle person—traits cultivated from a sense of pride and responsibility as a member of the Kiba family—he possesses a competitive spirit that rivals, if not exceeds, that of Tokoha. Despite being raised in an affluent environment where he lacked for nothing, he is a hardworking individual who refuses to rest on his laurels, constantly striving to ensure he never brings shame to the Kiba name. His daily life is remarkably busy for a junior high student; in addition to pursuing various extracurricular activities—such as fencing and English conversation lessons—he often attends meetings with business associates and wealthy investors on behalf of his parents. He excels academically and is highly skilled in sports. He is also a top-tier Vanguard player, demonstrating great dedication to the game by gaining practical experience at various shops (including Card Capital) and conducting thorough research—studying the latest strategies and analyzing the past match records of his opponents through books, the internet, and other resources. Blessed with striking good looks, he is frequently surrounded by female admirers; however, because he treats everyone with equal kindness, he is also well-liked by his male peers. His immense popularity with women—regardless of their age—once led him to try and leverage this to gather people for a "quest," but the attempt backfired, leaving him swarmed and overwhelmed by a crowd. On the other hand, having been raised as the heir to a wealthy family, he occasionally displays a lack of familiarity with everyday life. He struggles with tasks as simple as purchasing a train ticket, and his perspective on common things is somewhat detached from that of the average person—for instance, he once identified "caviar" as a standard filling for an onigiri (rice ball).
