Birthplace: Amestris Occupation: State Alchemist The "Sewing-Life" Alchemist who created a talking chimera. Later on it is realized that the first speaking chimera he created was made from lab animals and his wife who he transmuted into a chimera out of a fit of anger. He also created a second "talking chimera" by transmuting his daughter Nina and his dog. In the 2003 Series: Later on he makes another appearance at the abandoned lab. He is first thought to be a chimera by Ed, when he can see Shou's twisted body wrapped around the creature's upper body due to a failed alchemy experiment. Shou then wishes Ed to complete the philosopher's stone so he can then resurrect Nina whom he killed in the first place.
