Description
Crafted by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu. One of the Toushirou brothers. It is said to have been nicknamed Hakata Toushirou because it was produced in Hakata. It was presented to Ogasawara Tadamasa by Kuroda Tadayuki, lord of Fukuoka Castle in Chikuzen, and has been passed down through the Ogasawara family ever since. He embodies the merchant spirit inherited from a wealthy Hakata merchant.
