Takashi Utsui

Description

Wakatoshi Ushijima's father. He introduced Wakatoshi to volleyball, telling him stories about his team's reliable ace in high school. When the Ushijima family objected to Wakatoshi's left-handedness, Utsui begged the head of household to allow Wakatoshi to keep his unique trait and that it would be a strength in his future. Utsui has been residing in Irvine, California and is the training coach for the Irvine Polar Bears. He also authored several books about volleyball physical training through the years
