Nakigitsune

Description

An uchigatana crafted by Awataguchi Kuniyoshi. It is a rare specimen—believed to have been forged during the Kamakura period—that was designated as an uchigatana even in that early era. He is accompanied by a fox companion, which serves to express nearly all of his emotions—save for his feelings of affection. He secretly delights in the surprise this elicits from those around him.
