She inhabits the "Gray Fields," a realm where not only is mana drained but life force itself is depleted, meaning that a prolonged stay results in death. Although Clover managed to escape the scene thanks to Yuke's quick thinking, it appears that Yuke was afflicted with some form of curse in the process.
