His debut role on the small screen was in the 2017 drama "僕たちがやりました (We Did It), but, it was in 2022, where he got his big break, starring as the younger version of the main male lead in the Netflix series "初恋: FIRST LOVE", based on the Hikaru Utada hit of the same name. In 2024, Kido would get his first role in animation, voicing the character of 影平ルイ (Rui Kagehira), in the animated original film "みの色 (The Colors Within)".
